Evening above Marske

I like this walk above Marske. It's not technically a footpath, but as I didn't destroy anything while up there I hope nobody minds too much. The trees warped from the strong prevailing winds are fascinating.

I enjoyed this walk mainly though because while taking the star trail shot (which I am not sure is my best effort, but here it is regardless) I spent an hour lying on my back in the cold looking up at the night sky, which was clear and bright to an almost unreal degree. I saw the Milky Way,planets, shooting stars, planes, satellites, and I even heard one rather large and noisy group of honking Canada geese, heading north through the valley.
