A visit to see Flying Scotsman, running on the North York Moors Railway. (Still on this weekend.)
It was great to see it running, as I missed it going over Ribblehead (I did see the double header, however). Certainly an impressive engine.
The photos here make the weather look reasonable, but actually it was very cold, and on the moor tops (the roads between the stations go over the moors) the fog was so thick you could see only a few feet ahead of you. Interesting riding on the motorbike (but the advantage being that I could park pretty much anywhere I wanted).
