It was fun. But wouldn't have been half as much if I hadn't by chance run into my friend Emma Amsden (a very talented deaf photographer), who can charm her way into snapping candid portraits of anybody within approximately three seconds.
The vast majority of these were taken with a 23mm lens. A little wider than my 31mm choice from last year. My general philosophy of getting in close holds the same (certainly better than the vast majority of shots taken with a focal length of anything over 50mm), though quite a lot of these shots were "from the hip".
