New Lanark

I came across New Lanark (a world heritage site) purely by accident. It was an interesting place, particularly for it being one of the pioneering sites of employer philanthropy, under Robert Owen. However, the actual execution of the site for visitors leaves a lot to be desired. Instead of a pointless sit-and-ride tour of some little girl's life and lots of very bad shop mannequins creepily dotted around, perhaps the site management should take a trip to Beamish and see how a heritage museum should really be run.
