Lost churches of Dunwich, Suffolk

Dunwich was a port to rival London at one point in time. When you visit Dunwich now it's hard to reconcile that fact with the tiny seaside village of about 100 people.

The reason is that Dunwich gradually disappeared into the sea over hundreds of years. The city and its churches disappeared into the North Sea over a period of hundreds of years, and eventually what is now left of the city (a tiny village) will disappear.
