NYC: The High Line park (things seen on, from, under and above)

I was really impressed by the new High Line park on New York's west side. Made on a disused elevated train tracks, it stretches for a couple of miles with beautiful gardens and lawns, and interesting views down onto the streets below. I'd recommend anybody visiting New York to investigate and walk its length.

These seats were great: they moved on rails. So if you didn't like your neighbour, you could push yourself off down the tracks. Of course, the woman on the left quickly pushed herself away from me after I took this photo.

Construction of the High Line will continue north.
