On my last full day in the city the sun came out. From snow and rain through fog, finally there were blue skies. From a photographic perspective I'm happy to have had the variety: but today I really enjoyed the chance to find a bench in the park by the waterfront and bask in the sunshine.
Everybody else was still dressed for the arctic however..
The city looked very different in the sun, though the streets were still dark, with the sun just a distant memory above the buildings that cast perpetual shade.
My last evening in the city: I went up Campanile di San Marco. Just like yesterday, the views were beautiful as the sun dropped below the horizon, turning the peaks of the snow capped Dolomites pink.
